Until now, majority of the VoIP service providers recommends fax to be used on ordinary land lines. They don't offer any VoIP fax service. However, everyone believes that quality of VoIP will improve in future. If we keep in mind the previous rapid development of VoIP service, this definitely is a reality.

The fact is majority of the voip service providers are not offering any fax service just because this technology itself is in very preliminary stages. Some voip providers introduced voip fax just to prove themselves smarter than others but that experiment failed in the beginning.

well as far as fax with voip is concerned, it works really well within the papers but when it comes to practical implementation, the results are really poor. I would say in office, you can never depend on the results of voip fax. This is why most of main voip providers are not offering any fax service.

My experience with the hosted voip fax has not been very good. I purchased a customized solution which provided voip fax facility. Voice quality was quite satisfactory but the quality of fax was not acceptable. In fact I got a very poor fax quality whith voip fax.

VoIP has an edge over ordinary phone lines in every way. The main advantage of VoIP is its low cost. No other phone service can beat voip service in terms of prices. It is without any doubt the cheapest phone service available in the market.

It is true. In the last five to seven years VoIP phone service demand has increased more than anyone's expectations. However, there is a fierce competition going on between many VoIP service providers this is why prices have not increased. In fact many voIP service providers have decreased their prices.

I would call it cheating. Client should be informed of all the hidden costs and taxes that he has to pay. I would say such people should be brought in to courts and dealt with a strict hand. Deceiving others should not be called the business.

Well to some extent Brandon is right. Majority of the VoIP service providers write about these taxes and other hidden charges in the internal pages of the website. Client come to know about these costs only when he has signed up the contract.

Always check for the hidden costs. Most of the companies mention only their plan prices. Other hidden costs like taxes and shipment fee are written in some dark corners of the site. The only solution to this problem is to read the site carefully before final decision.

VoIP works with high speed internet. You will get a reliable VoIP service only if you have a reliable internet. However, until now, VoIP does not work with the satellite internet. However, in future, we can expect that it will work with satellite in future.

Yes now we can get TV, phone as well as fax service on the same internet line. However for all that, an outstanding internet speed is a must. The problem is that if you have problem in your internet, you will get none of these services.

Quality of a good home phone service is that it can be used easily. If we are using VoIP with ATA, every member of the family can use it without any training. Plus you get unlimited calling packages in VoIP that make it "compatible" with the women.

I think everyone has high speed internet now a day. This is why people are switching to VoIP so quickly. Without high speed internet, no body would have switched to VoIP. Now people are thinking far beyond the internet speed. They are having many services in same internet line just because of VoIP technology.

Yes I agree with Amma. Majority of the problems associated with VoIP are due to the inconsistent internet. However, unfortunately, voip service does not work with the satellite service. However, as we know voip is under contant developments and near future, may be we could call via satellite internet also.

A high speed connection for VoIP is a must. If you don't have a high speed internet, you will never be able to get an appropriate voip service. Voice delay, noise and many other problems related to VoIP are in fact problems due to inconsistent internet.

Yes nearly all the VoIP service providers offer a free device. This device is a plug and play device. You don't need any extra effort to configure this device. In BYOD option, you have to configure the device yourself. This is why, device offered by the voip provider is recommended.

Many VoIP service providers offer bring your own device option but I don't think anyone should go for that. Instead we should get the device from the VoIP service provider as majority of them offers it free.

The performance of VoIP phone is dependent on the internet speed. This why I advise to have a monthly inspection of all the internet cables and joings at home. Sometimes, you keep on changing voip service providers but don't get the right service. The problem after a long period is found out in your internet cables. This is why I always advise to monthly check the internet cables and joints.

Basically, this plan is more popular with the students. It can be used on computer. They deposit just $10 in their account and talk to their family back at home. There are no limitations. Just deposit the amount and talk accordingly. This is what students are looking for.

Yes but $0 does not allow any incoming calls. You can make only outgoing calls. I would suggest their $4.99 plan. You can make outgoing calls as well as incoming calls with this plan. Besides that, you can use it on your computer as well as on any ordinary touch tone phone.

It is true. You can start with axvoice in $0 only. However, the point to remember is that you will not get any number with this plan so you will be able to make out going calls. You would not be able to receive any in coming calls.

My experience is Axvoice is offering the best plans. It is offering one plan for every budget. No matter you want to use VoIP for your business or home. So much so that you can start with them in $0 only. I don't if any other voip provider is offering any $0 plans.

Axvoice no doubt is a good voip service provider. The best thing about them is that they are offering a variety of plans. You can start with them even in $0. Yes their outgoing only plan starts with $0 only. You will be charged only when you make a call. However, you can't receive any incoming calls with this plan.
